Turning up late
This first faux pas is an old chestnut, but it still bears repeating. Punctuality is critical when meeting the company’s staff: it’s the first sign that you’re prepared to honour the commitments you will make to us. Arriving late without warning, or a good excuse, would of course leave a bad taste at an initial meeting. And don’t forget that the first impression is often the right one… especially if it’s the wrong one.
“Not a team player”
Collective effort is at the heart of Stormshield’s work, and one of our core values – regardless of which team you join. Don’t be overly focused on yourself during the interview, and show us how you define “team spirit” by citing actual professional or personal examples.
Lack of research into the company
A leading European actor, France’s No.1 cybersecurity pure player, and an Airbus group subsidiary… there’s plenty to find out and say about Stormshield! Look at our website, and do your research!
Passive body language
We see body language as another key component in interviews. If you adopt a passive or nonchalant stance, it may come across as a lack of interest or motivation on your part. Not the best way of convincing us that you’re the right person for the job, ready to face up to the challenges ahead.
Reciting a script
Or coming with preconceptions about what we’re looking for: the interview is first and foremost a chance to share, with the aim of getting to know one another. So just be yourself, and help us to find the real you! Yes, we’re recruiting you… but you’re choosing us too.
