At Stormshield, we advocate a real commitment to the feminisation of IT professions. When the Gaston Berger high school in Lille proposed an action in this sense at the beginning of October 2022, it seemed obvious to us to participate.
The objective of this action initiated by the school was twofold: to promote IT professions to a female audience and to break down gender stereotypes associated with these professions. The target group? A group of schoolgirls from several schools in the Lille area, who were not initiated into the digital professions. Sylvie, our HRD, and Maryse, TAC coordinator, took part in this great initiative.
For half a day, accompanied by other women from the IT environment, our two colleagues spoke to a group of 60 schoolgirls to raise their awareness of the meaning of our activity and to awaken them to this world, which is unknown to most of them. It was an inspiring, interactive moment that conveyed a strong message: yes, girls also have their place in the IT environment, dare to take up a tech job!
It is a real pride for us to be able to play our societal role with interventions like these.
